Fátima is an important Catholic pilgrimage site in Portugal with worldwide fame. In May 1917, three shepherd children are said to have first witnessed apparitions of the Virgin Mary in Fátima, and the Sanctuary of Fátima now attracts millions of pilgrims every year.
Around 10 kilometres from Fátima you can visit the Monumento Natural das Pegadas de Dinossáurio de Ourém-Torres Novas (mouthful eh?) to see dinosaur footprints in Portugal believed to be around 175 million years old. (There are also dinosaur tracks near Sesimbra.)
